The United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates consist of 7 emirates - Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Qaywayn, Fujeirah and Ras al-Khaimah - and are a melting pot of Arabic, Persian, African and other oriental influences. The landscape varies from beautiful beaches at the Persian Gulf, to vast colorful deserts with lush oases. Visit Al Ain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is also called ‘the Oasis City’ as it is fed by natural springs originating in the rocky surroundings.

The Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi is an architectural landmark because of its design and the various precious materials that were imported from many different countries. Throughout the Emirates, there are plenty of golf courses and watersports facilities. But the most famous attraction in the Emirates is the booming city of Dubai, where the immense Burj Dubai is still under construction, currently measuring over 800 meters tall. Enjoy shopping in the largest shopping centre in the world, the phenomenal Dubai Mall with its 1.200 shops, sea aquarium and skating rink. Literally, the Emirates have it all.
